About UsWe are a small group of computer scientists living in the Netherlands. World of Emotions was started as a hobby project in March 2009. We created this site for you to be able to tell everyone about your mood and to learn, what other people feel in different cities and countries. Our goal is to explore human emotions in the world and to make as many people as possible think positive. And you can help us! The Theory states that you can improve your mood by just smiling! The more people are smiling, the more positive energy pours into the world! We are offering two methods of gathering human emotions: explicit via our site or implicit by automatically harvesting social networks (e.g. twitter). When entering World of Emotions site you can indicate your current mood by selecting an emotion icon. Then you can find your emotional contribution to the world on the map or in the live log. You can also see the top 10 countries per emotion for a defined period. We invite you to visit our site every day and share your mood! You can specify your mood and leave a comment with text, picture or link. For that you need to sign up first. You can also download our emotion icons. If you have questions, remarks, suggestions or business offers, please feel free to contact us.

Собранная таким образом статистика отображается на географических картах и графиках в различных срезах: динамика настроений в разных странах (в том числе сравнительная), уровень отдельных эмоций в разных странах, активность пользователей разных стран и т.д.
